Expert Witnessing

Former Chair of the College of Paramedics and Director in the NHS, for 11 years and also the first Consultant Paramedic to  be appointed in the UK, in 2005.  With a wide experience as an expert witness gained over the last 10 years working for a variety of Coroners, legal firms and other organisations.

One of the original authors of the national Health and Care Professional Council, HCPC [formerly known as the HPC] Standards of Proficiency, SoP.

During the course of his career Andy has gained an extensive and detailed knowledge of clinical policies, procedures and how these are applied within ambulance services and other parts of the health economy where paramedic work and is one of the most clinically experienced paramedics in the UK, with accreditations in both critical and paramedic primary care.

Also having served as Chair of the College of Paramedic education and training and has an excellent knowledge of the practical application of Paramedic delivered care in the context of clinical practice and the relationship with risk management, human factors and modern days pressures and limitations Paramedics work within.

 

Previous experience includes working with the Hillsborough Inquiry and a large number of other complex legal cases.
